Managing myopia & Specialty Contact lenses

 Myopia (nearsightedness) is a vision problem that impacts the ability to see distances clearly. Our doctors at Surf City Optometry use specialized contact lenses, including MiSight® soft contact lenses and Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses, as well as Essilor Stellest™ spectacle lenses to help provide clear vision while slowing the progression of myopia, especially during childhood development.  Our doctors will work with you to determine the myopia management option that best fits your individual vision, lifestyle, and comfort. 

 Keratoconus can cause the cornea to become irregular, making it difficult to achieve clear vision with glasses or conventional contact lenses. Our doctors offer specialty contact lens options, including scleral, hybrid, and rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, designed to improve vision and comfort by addressing the unique shape of the cornea. We carefully evaluate each patient's eyes to determine the lens option that best fits their vision, corneal shape, and comfort needs.
